Timing is everything

"May God give you the eyes to see all that you are looking for, the ears to hear what you need to hear, and the patience to receive it in God's time, not yours. "

This is such an incredible statement by Mike Yaconelli, from his book devotion. My prayer lately has been what he said. So many times in life we are all looking for direction whether it is a job situation, a move, which college to go to, etc. Deep down we all want to know what the best thing for our lives should be.
Lately I have been faced with some decisions, and haven't exactly given it all to the Lord like I should. I have tried to take matters into my own hands, and "move mountains" ,so to speak, myself. But the Lord said to me the other day that I need to quit trying to do things on my own, and just give everything to Him, and trust him. He is working it all out and at the right time, it will all come to pass.
Today we should seek to see with God eyes, open our ears to hear His voice speaking to us, (He will speak to us through His word, through others, and through prayer), and ask the the Lord to help us to trust Him, knowing that there is a time and season for everything.

God is always on time. He is never early and never late!
