Kids Krusade @ The Orchard
Tonight was the second night of Kids Krusade at Orchard Assembly of God. Our theme is Ordinary to Extraordinary. I'm leading worshi for it, and am having a blast. I love it when kids have fun worshipping Jesus.
Tonights message was on having a broken heart. Pastor Ryan asked the kids what were different things that cause one to have a broken heart. The kids begain saying things like divorce, death, siblings, etc. He explained to them that Jesus could mend their broken hearts if they would let him. During the alter service, tons of kids came down because of their broken hearts. I went to pray with them and I stopped at this little girl first. She was so precious. I wrapped my arms around her and asked her if her heart was broken, and she said yes, and as I asked her more questions, this 8 year old sweetheart came down because her mother had passed away the year before as a result of complications from surgery.
She was so broken. The tears kept streaming down her rosy cheeks. I didn't think that I could pray for her because tears were welling up in my eyes, but the Lord gave me the strength to do it.
We never know what one may be going through in their life. We are from all walks of life and each face different things every day. We are all dealt with difficult situations at some point in our lives, and sometimes it seems like once something happens, many other things happen after that. It's as if it gets worse and worse, but we have a hope if we are Christians to make it through those tough times. Whenever our hearts are breaking with pain and agony, we can turn to our heart mender, and know that He is right there to carry us, and to pick up the broken pieces of our hearts.
