Piano Ensemble...

The University of Mobile has a piano ensemble once a semester. It always amazes me how so many people can play the same piece at the same time, stay together, and it sound flawless. It was a lot of fun. Here are some shots of the evening.

BLESSED ARE THE FLEXIBLE...

"Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape!!!!"

Flexible - Abled to be bent or flexed: pliable. Responsive or adaptable to change. Easily persuaded.

What a great message. Am I flexible? Am I willing to be pliable, and able to be molded and made just the way God wants me to be?!?! God wants all of us to be flexible. I am getting a little off the main focus, but many times we become complacent in our Christian walks, and the Lord tugs at our heart strings, and we feel it, but push that feeling away, yet we are really pushing God away. We are saying to Him, Lord I don't need You! I am happy just where I am Spiritually.
This saddens the heart of God. He wants us to be able to be bent, folded, and molded.
Just like the potter. He begins with a lump of clay, and places it on the wheel. He begins molding the clay as the wheel whirls around. He messes up or there is an imperfection, so he flattens out the clay and starts over. The clay is flexible, and able to be bent out of shape. Once the potter finishes His work on the clay pot, he places the soft clay in the fire. The fire bakes the clay, and makes it hard. Once it is hard it can not go back to the place of being flattened out on the wheel again.
This analogy is like you and me. The Lord has us on the wheel. He is molding and making us, taking away the imperfections, and flaws. Sometimes things happen to us, throughout our lives, and we become hardened and calloused, and we become hard to the things of the Lord. We don't want Him to place us back on the wheel and strip away the bad, and bring out the good.
My friend, I challenge you today, just as I am challenging myself... don't be hardened. Be flexible so that the Lord can bend you out of shape today!
